It takes around a full week of work. It starts with a consultation to find out how each woman would like to be photographed. Anya designs the concept and makes the costumes. Then there's the actual day of the photoshoot. Afterwards there's the editing process which varies depending on the complexity of the photoshoot. Alison also puts together an online gallery and orders a print for each woman taking part.

The project started in March 2022.

Artist Anya came up with the concept of the project because of her own personal losses. She wanted to do something positive, believing every woman has the right to feel beautiful, especially when they have undergone breast surgery. When Anya put the idea to her photographer friend Alison, she got on-board with the idea straight away as it was such a unique idea. From then on, the project's gone from strength to strength.

At the moment we are fully subscribed, but we are happy to take your application for 2026. We hope to have grants and funding coming in soon.

There'll be a gallery exhibition at the mid way point (October 2025) and at the end of the project. Details will be posted on the website and Facebook page. We plan for this to be a long running project.
